- Ladybugs, unless they are in a swarm
- Praying mantises, one at a time
- Butterflies & daytime moths (also not in swarms)
- Pond skimmers, in any number
- Any bug that is rainbow iridescent, at a distance, & not interested in biting or clawing me
- Anything that eats mosquitoes
- Ants that are outdoors and do not bite
- Pollinators that have no interest in stinging me
- Fuzzy wuzzy caterpillars, in an exhibit where they cannot decimate forests and crops
- Daddy Long Legs
