If lightning should strike, do not lose sight
of important things, for sight & sound may bring
a new horizon of possibility
Welcome the storm: it’s destruction will sing
with a singular clarity that flight
would never yield. Make eye contact and do not fight
the dark night of your fear, though it be raging.
Know that hope waters the possibility
of all future endeavor, place, and activity,
growing from your center like seeds.
Will you flower herenow through eternity?
Or prepare a single rose too perfectly?
Life imperfect, strong as weeds?
