Sunbreak

there are leaves colors glowing orange and yellow. the sunlight catches color everywhere and everything is suddenly full of clarity, alive just for this moment.  the air and everything warms. Steam begins rising from pavements, trees, leaves. Even the squirrels find themselves stopping for just a moment to breathe. Just as quickly the moment passes, back to cool and grey, steam still rising.
